This January, the Northern Winter Beat festival is bringing an eclectic bunch of musicians from Denmark and abroad to the city of Aalborg for a festival of alternative music.

The performers are all a little out there, so if your taste in music is more Spotify Top 100 than ‘blues punk guitar dance party’, then this probably isn’t the festival for you.

Previous bills have included Syrian singer Omar Souleyman and American artist Bob Log III, who is known for performing while wearing a full body ‘human cannonball’ suit.

This year’s bill features artists such Julie Byrne, Zambian-Canadian rapper Backxwash and Brit singer/song-write Alabaster DePlume. We told you it was no ordinary line up!

The festival takes place at various venues in the city including 1000Fryd, Huset, and Studenterhuset.
