Helsinki’s DocPoint Festival is Finland’s only film festival entirely devoted to documentaries. It attracts around 30,000 visitors annually over six days to view more than 100 different films.
Established in 2001, DocPoint shows some of the most attention-grabbing documentaries from the past year. A number of anticipated Finnish documentaries are set to be premiered too.
In addition, a series of seminars, lectures and masterclasses will be running alongside the screenings as well as the popular Dokkino, which focuses on a younger audience (aged 10–15). In 2017, Dokkino toured 19 Finnish cities and reached around 23,000 young people.
